This question I ask has a profound and centuries-old source. There are people who argue that Turkey and the Turkish people should be evaluated differently, and there are reasons behind their statements. For example, there are hundreds of people who support, understand, accept, and even struggle and pay the price for the Kurdish people's movement. The existence of these people inevitably puts us Kurds in a position between being labeled as "good" or "bad." This creates a grey area for us. However, I think if we were to be labeled as bad and called the Turkish people "murderers," adopting this perspective and viewing all Turks as murderers, would those who support us today and struggle for Kurds still withdraw their support? I'm not sure. I believe they are on our side because they already see the injustice and the killings. And I believe this acknowledgment, even if all Kurds were to collectively accept that the Turkish people are murderers, would not prevent these individuals from supporting us, who have suffered injustice and death. Because the truth is very clear and evident.
Until today, all state leaders representing the Turkish people, chosen by their preferences, have unhesitatingly carried out bombings, assassinations, and massacres to destroy Kurdish children, women, youth, language, and culture. None of them came to power claiming, "If you elect me, I will make peace with the Kurds." On the contrary, all of them guaranteed that they would continue killing Kurds under the pretext of "fighting terrorism." The people always predominantly elected figures like Erdoğan, Ecevit, Demirel, and Özal. This was the only legacy left to them by Mustafa Kemal, the founder of their country. It was a continuation of the legacy of "Eliminate everyone who is not one of you." They never elected those who said, "No! We want peace," and in no period have they sided with peace advocates.
No matter where you start from, the conclusion leads to evidence that Kurds are being massacred by the Turkish people and their representatives. Kurds are being killed at the hands of the Turkish people and the Republic of Turkey. At no point in history has a person from another nation or ethnicity come to lead Turkey, and no candidate who stated they would not kill Kurds has ever been elected by the people. This brings us to the conclusion that the massacres in Rojava, the children killed, and the Kurdish villages deprived of water and electricity by Turkey are entirely carried out under the will of the Turkish people.
Therefore, I personally do not find it wrong to say, "The Turk is a murderer." For me, the Turkish State washes its hands of blood with the votes given by the Turkish people. This has brought them no other status than that of a legal murderer.
